I am Fractile81, as you may have drawn from the name of my site.
Not too long ago I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Computer Science. In addition to learning a lot about programming (and as little about speling as possible), I was a web administrator for one of the clubs there, The 100 Hour Board. All of the skills here helped my get my foot into the professional door.
I am presently employed, doing what I love: programming. I know and realize that I am not the best or smartest programmer around. But I make honest efforts and whatever I can return to the programming community, I will.
Open Source in particular has meant a lot to me. More than just software, the communities that form around OSS are amazing, providing people like me the opportunity to learn about new, fascinating things.
It is my hope to provide articles and discussion on the topic of programming, as well as other related topics, on my website. This is my way of trying to contribute back to the Open Source communities out there. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to make them know. All I ask is that you make sure to follow the terms and policies that I have outlined.
Enjoy!
